I can't believe she is 6 months old already. Time flew so fast! First, a giggle:
Cecilia thought Felicity would like to play with her dolls:
Felicity weighed in this morning at 14 pounds and 1/2 ounce. It is a bit small for her age but she is exclusively breastfed and she is very active. She bounces, wiggles, squirms, pushes herself on all fours backwards, sits up unsupported and has even managed to crawl one step forward twice.
(these pictures are a couple of weeks old. She doesn't even use the Boppy anymore.)
And you wouldn't think she was slender to hold her - she has those pudgy baby rolls in full force - but she is building the muscles, especially in her legs.Yesterday James caught her sitting up in her crib and trying to pull herself to standing using the railing. She hasn't managed yet, but we will need to lower the mattress soon.
Ah, Sisters. Yes, Cecilia put that hat on her. A couple of months ago I was going through baby clothes switching out Felicity's 3 month clothes for her 6 month and Cecilia found that purple hat in a bag and has kept it with her wearing it ever since. She loves it. So it says something that she voluntarily shares something she loves with her sister. Happy as always, Felicity doesn't mind. She continues to bounce and squirm and sit up with it on. Felicity measured 26 inches long, which is average for her age, so clearly she is growing well, even if she isn't packing on the pounds.
I hope to soon put up a few pictures of Cecilia and Felicity at the same ages just to see similarities and differences. And now that I think about it, maybe I can get together a post on "The Many Hats of Cecilia." She loves her hats and it is too cute and funny not to share.
