1. Well, it took me over a week, working on one little part at a time, but I finally finished cleaning the kitchen, and when I say cleaning, I mean wiping, dusting, and organizing everything from all the cabinets to the dry goods to the inside of the refrigerator. I went through all the jars and stuff in the fridge checking expiration dates (2007 was a while ago even for pickles and relish) and making sure everything was in its place. The only thing undone is mopping the floor. I still need to give James a haircut and I am not so glutton for punishment to mop the floor before that. I think the last time we did such a thorough cleaning and reorganizing of the kitchen was in 2007, so it was wonderful to get it done. Now if I just wasn't sick of the kitchen from being in there so much. I just really want everything in its place before the baby comes so things are as simple and easy as possible afterward.
2. I also got the main floor bathroom cleaned and organized and the dining room vacuumed and polished and dusted. Just the living room and hallway to go. I was hoping to have all the cleaning done before June. I may still make it but even if I don't, I'm pretty close.
3. I don't know if I am done with the toys part yet, but I managed to store some toys (even while the girls were playing), find one to donate, and stored away the remaining Easter decorations, despite Cecilia's objections. With Easter ending and the baby to be here soon, de-clutter is the name of the game.
