Thursday we went to the Disney Hollywood Studios.
We went to their Playhouse Disney show based on their Disney Channel cartoons. Both girls loved it! It combines the characters from Mickey's Clubhouse, Handy Manny, My Friends Tigger and Pooh and Little Einsteins in one show using puppets.
Next was the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Cecilia loved this playground last trip and was thrilled to see it again. This time Felicity got in on a bit of the action. Cecilia spent quite a bit of time on it over the course of two visits that day.
It was on Thursday that it finally warmed up a bit, at least enough for Elizabeth to get a ride in the stroller.
We had dinner at Mama Melrose's and I must say my Chicken Parmesan was very disappointing. It was overcooked and way too dry. But we ended the night on the high not of Fantastmic - a show of characters, fireworks, fire, lights, music, and film shown on water. You can see the fire the dragon in the middle (you can make out his yellow eyes) has set to scare Mickey, who is that little red and black dot running down in front.
The various Disney villains try to turn Mickey's dreams into nightmares but you know nothing can keep a good mouse down.
Our final day we went back to the Magic Kingdom. Felicity absolutely loves trains so the first thing we did was hop on the Magic Kingdom Railroad.
Felicity and Cecilia waved goodbye to everyone as we pulled from the station.
Cecilia, as I said, is shy when it comes to the characters, but Felicity wanted to meet Mickey, so we went to Toontown for a visit. We were pleasantly surprised that Minnie was there as well.
Afterwards, Felicity played around at Minnie's house.
Remember that Pepsi Car from Texas? Well, after that, the girls had to try the Tomorrow Land Speedway.
Both girls really enjoyed it though it is probably best neither one drove!
We then went to Tony's Town Square Restaurant for a late lunch. Tony's is my favorite restaurant in all of Disney World. I love the atmosphere. Cecilia is sitting in my dad's lap watching Lady and the Tramp, which they show continually in the waiting area.
Elizabeth even loved it.
Lady and the Tramp is one of my top two all time favorite Disney animated films, the other being Beauty and the Beast. I simply cannot choose between them. (Pixar is a different category for me, but my favorite Pixar would be Ratatouille.)
We let the girls pick which rides they wanted to go on before we left. Cecilia, of course, opted for a Carousel ride and "the little boat ride" twice. Felicity got to go on Snow White's Adventure, the Carousel and Dumbo. She loved "flying" with dumbo and is convinced she really did fly.
We finally managed to get a family photo in front of the castle. (Elizabeth with a blanket over her head and bundled in my jacket - yeah, that is how she spent much of her time in Disney.)
We returned home safe and sound on Saturday and have been doing food shopping, laundry, sleeping, resting, re-organizing, cleaning, etc. Hope you enjoyed my little tour of our travels.
Yes, Cecilia is already asking when we can go back.
