Felicity turned 3 just before Thanksgiving.
Elizabeth turned 1 1/2 years on Christmas Eve.
I only discovered in September/October that the two were 1 shoe size apart when every shoe I tried on Elizabeth seemed too small and I was forced to measure her foot. So I was a bit surprised the doctor's offices measured only 1.5 inch difference in the height of Elizabeth and Felicity in November and December.
So I had to take some measurements of my own.
Cecilia is now 40 inches tall, which should clear her for some new rides at Disney next year.
Felicity seems to have had a bit of a growth spurt in the last month or so and shot up from the doctor's estimated 33.5 inches to 35.25 inches.
Elizabeth's doctor's measurement was only off by half an inch and I measured her at 32.5 inches. (As the doctor still measures her laying down, it isn't surprising it is a little off.)
Respectively though, Felicity is 4.5 inches below Cecilia and Elizabeth is only 2.75 inches below Felicity. Elizabeth has become quite the little shooting weed. She actually shot up to the 90th percentile in height at her 18 month appointment.
To put Elizabeth's growth in perspective, at their 18 month appointments, while Elizabeth is 32.5 inches, Felicity was 31 and Cecilia was 31.5. So, though it doesn't sound like much, even though Cecilia is over 4 inches taller than Felicity now, when they were 18 months old, Cecilia was only bigger by half an inch and Elizabeth is ahead of Cecilia's 18 month visit by a whole inch.
She must get it from her father.
