Time to Party

The Wednesday and Thursday between outings were spent cleaning and preparing the house because the following Saturday we had a nice big party celebrating my brothers' graduations from NYU last year - one in theater and one in film, and my husband's graduation from CUA this year as a Doctor of Sacred Theology.

Michael asked for a red velvet cake with vanilla icing.

Jon went for chocolate with coconut.

James went for the vanilla cake with buttercream icing. (Which is my favorite kind of cake and also something the girls were more likely to eat - and they would have if they hadn't had so many friends to play with. :) )

James does not now have a PhD after his name. He got a doctorate but his degree is canonical, meaning it is through the Vatican. So the Vatican gets a copy of his GPA and his dissertation and James gets a nice STD after his name. Yes, we have been joking about those initials. It is easy to spot the generation gap by the reaction to those three little letters. But they are good important initials, nonetheless and they stood for a Doctorate in Sacred Theology long before the more commonly known abbreviation.

I'm sorry I don't have many more pictures of the party, but I don't regret spending the time chatting with family and friends. Needless to say it was a very, very busy week. Hence we've mostly taken it easy this week. We'll pick up again with school tomorrow. But I wanted to finish putting up all the pictures from our busy, busy week. :) Blessed Trinity Sunday!!!
