Post 1000 Giveaway!

I can't believe this is post #1000. I began writing my blog about our family, my first post being about how I was pregnant with Cecilia.
In honor of such a milestone, I thought it would be fun to host my first giveaway! Since Post #1 was about our daughter and most of my 1000 posts have been about our family, I thought I'd have one prize in honor of each girl.

From my bouncy, bubbly, playful sanguine Cecilia, a board book about a sweet Little Nutbrown Hare:  Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney

From my sweet, imaginative pink and purple loving princess Felicity, a DVD of that lovable princess Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess

From my quiet, easy-going baby-loving Elizabeth, a board book about a new sweet little baby born in a manger: Christmas in the Manger by Nola Buck and Felicia Bond

From my little Teresa Marie, who needs more protection and guidance than any toddler I know, a paperback of The Life of Saint Joseph as manifested by Our Lord, Jesus Christ to Maraia Cecilia Baij, O.S.B.

And from my sweet, adorable angel Brigid, a delightful paperback children's book about her patron saint: The Life of Saint Brigid: Abbess of Kildare by Jane G. Meyer.

So, how can you win one of these? I've happily managed to figure out this rafflecopter thing to make this easy (I hope!).

If you choose to leave a comment, please tell me something about yourself or why you read my blog or what you like in the blogs you do read or just something interesting to share. I admit my girls keep me crazy busy, but I always love to know more about anyone who reads my blog, whether you visit frequently or are a welcome new visitor.

The Giveaway will run for an octave, beginning today, the Feast of the Archangels Gabriel, Michael and Raphael and concluding at the end of October 7th, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.

  5. For the record, I ADORE your entry choices. Rosary, sacrifice, prayer... love, love, love it!

Congrats on the 1,000 entries! How do you even keep track? That's awesome!

As for why I read... hrm... I guess I have a couple reasons.

I remember when I found you way back when I first started blogging. Your honest writing style instantly made you relatable (is that even a word?).

Your love for your children was evident, and the fact that you educated them yourself kept me interested (because I've always been interested in home schooling even though I've never had the guts to go through with it).

Plus, after coming back week after week, I really have grown to adore your kids, and I like hearing about how they're doing. It's funny how, even though we've never met, I've grown to love you and your family. That whole "Body of Christ" thing is more than just doctrine, I guess. ;)
