Camping

Last weekend my dad and I took Cecilia, Felicity and Elizabeth on our AHG camping trip.

We set up our tent and stuff Saturday morning. Elizabeth loved collecting sticks and drawing in the rocks with them.

Once we were set up, we all went on a hike.

It turns out it was quite a challenging hike for girls of our age. The hiker to the far left of Felicity walked almost the whole thing though she is only 2 years old.

About half way to our destination, we stopped for a snack. One dad was particularly jealous of Felicity's Ranch Doritos.    Yes, I know, hardly the snack of champions, but it kept her walking through almost the whole hike, which turned out to be 2 to 2 1/2 miles total.

At the midway point, we stopped to see a beautiful waterfall.

And of course take a picture of the hikers.

After lunch, the girls spent most of the afternoon at a huge tire playground. Then there were hotdogs, burgers, fries and salad for dinner followed by a campfire. Cecilia is on the left in the pink hat, Eilzabeth is in the pink shirt just to the right of the fire and Felicity is in the blue shirt and purple sneakers to the far right.

Elizabeth even had her first s'more. Afterwards, the girls put on skits and sang songs until Felicity and Elizabeth were so tired I had to take them back to the tent where Felicity went right to sleep.

Despite a chilly night and an early rising, the girls had a ball playing until we were done packing up and still didn't want to leave. They were so tired Felicity fell asleep at 2 o'clock that afternoon and they all went to bed early, but they are eager to go again.
