The Chicago Field Museum

On Thursday of Easter week, my dad and I took the kids down to Chicago to the Field Museum. There was a special exhibit on the Ancient Greeks I particularly wanted to see with the girls since we have been studying them since January. It was quite an impressive exhibit.

After lunch at the Cafe, we went to the Ancient Egypt exhibit, since we studied them last Fall.

From there we went back upstairs to see Sue, the largest, most complete and best preserved skeleton of a T Rex in the world and she was quite impressive.

Then we wandered through the Mammals of Asia exhibit...

To the man eating lions of Tsavo, which were the basis for the film The Ghost and the Darkness.
