Springfield - Lincoln

I would put this in my August post, but there are too many pictures. :)

At the very end of July and on our first day of the new school year, we drove down to Springfield, Illinois.
We visited the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
Then we went to the Lincoln & Herndon Law Offices.
Then to the Old State Capitol, where Lincoln had his office and laid in state.
We stayed overnight in a hotel and then saw the Lincoln House and Visitor Center.
Then we went to the Lincoln Depot, from where Lincoln gave his Farewell Speech.
And then, on our way back north, we visited his tomb.

We will be studying the Civil War in August. Hopefully they have some good background on Lincoln now though. :)
